With warmer weather arriving, the City’s Roads and Parking Services team is shifting from winter operations to spring clean-up. Street sweeping helps remove sand, salt, and debris left behind from the winter season, keeping our roads, sidewalks, and cycling network safe and clean.
City-wide street sweeping is beginning in select suburban areas and will continue through the spring, with work expected to be completed by May 31, weather permitting. There are no parking restrictions during city-wide operations, but if you are able to move your vehicle off the street while crews are in your area, it can help them complete the work more efficiently.
In some urban neighbourhoods, concentrated street sweeping will take place between April 6 and April 15. Temporary parking restrictions will be posted in advance where required.
Residents are reminded not to rake or blow leaves, grass clippings, or other debris onto the roadway, as this can make clean-up more difficult.
Thank you for your patience as crews complete this important seasonal work.
