Beginning this week, a Forestry Services’ contractor will be completing tree planting within Windsor Park at 3560 Wyman Place.
Workers will be planting approximately 800 trees within the woodlot on the west side of the park, an area that was heavily impacted by the 2022 Derecho. Planting within the woodlot located on the east side of the park was completed in Fall 2022.
The work will include planting a mix of native tree saplings such as balsam fir, red maple, sugar maple, tamarack, white pine, and bur oak.
It is great to see the replanting of so many trees after the great loss our community suffered during the derecho.
