Speed Humps coming soon to Trappers Road

Jul 15, 2025 | News Updates

In May, my team hit the pavement on Trappers Road and distributed flyers to residents on the street, notifying them of a proposal to implement two speed humps leading into the curve on Trappers Road.

I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to write in and share their input on the proposal. Residents brought forth several suggestions which were assessed by City Staff for feasibility. After reviewing all submissions, City Staff determined that the best viable locations for the speed humps are in front of 3585 Trappers Road, and the second in front of 3598 and 3599/3597 Trappers Road.

Based on the community’s consensus in favour of the speed humps, formal concurrence for the speed humps has now been given. The project will now proceed to the next steps, including project bundling, detailed planning, and preparation for final construction. Full implementation of the speed humps is expected to take approximately 12 to 18 months. As such, summer 2026 would be the earliest target for speed hump construction.

I look forward to sharing updates with you as developments take shape. The addition of speed humps on Trappers will play a key role in reducing speeds and fostering a safer, calmer street.
