Neighbourhood Traffic Calming (NTC) Studies in Gloucester-Southgate: Johnston Rd, Lorry Greenberg Dr., and Pike St.

Sep 24, 2024 | News Updates

In addition to the Neighbourhood Traffic Calming (NTC) projects currently underway on Tapiola Cres. and Albion Rd. to help reduce speeding, I am pleased to share that Johnston Road (between Ewing Street and Blohm Drive) has now reached the top of the City’s list for an NTC study. The request for traffic calming measures along this section of Johnston Road was prioritized citywide through the NTC process, ensuring it receives attention to improve safety for residents.

Additionally, staff have also proposed another NTC study for Lorry Greenberg Drive from Conroy Rd to Pike Street, further extending our efforts to enhance traffic safety and reduce speeding throughout the community.

More details will be shared once the studies are complete, and we will ensure that concept drawings are made available to the community as soon as they are ready.

These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to addressing local traffic concerns and creating safer roads for everyone in the neighbourhood. We will continue to work closely with residents to ensure that the proposed measures are effective and responsive to the community’s needs.
