We have been in touch with the land management team, the NCC, as well as our Federal counterparts. The work is being closely monitored. They have an NCC Arborist, forest engineers and biologists following this project. The contractor retained for the work is experienced with work on NCC lands. All the work is carefully considered to ensure when a tree can be saved it is saved and if a tree comes down it is because it must come down.
They are also monitoring the movement of the equipment on site to minimise soil compaction and impacts on natural regeneration. This project is estimated to last approximately 2 months to complete.
