The National Capital Commission (NCC) has advised my office that they will be completing extensive derecho restoration work on their lands, that abuts several properties in our community along Autumnwood Street.
The NCC will be using City Lands as an access point (shown above) to complete the project. They will be using some heavy machinery such as an excavator, chipper, feller/buncher. We have asked that the NCC notify the neighbourhood of the project and to advise of any disruptions that may occur because of this project. The project is expected to last roughly two months, beginning when the agreement is issued in October. The NCC is expected to remediate any damage that may result from this project (i.e., soil disturbance, etc.). Residents are asked to be cautious in the area, in particular around the walking trails.
