Starting the first week of October 2023, the City of Ottawa will commence road resurfacing work on various roadways near Hunt Club Rd. as part of its annual infrastructure maintenance cycle. This project will include milling or pulverizing of the existing surface, potential placement of granular materials, adjustments to maintenance hole and catch basin grates, concrete repairs, and the resurfacing of the roadway. This initiative aims to extend the lifespan of the city’s road network and will continue until spring 2024. Importantly, the road resurfacing will take place both during the day and night and increased noise levels are expected during work periods. While the roads will remain open to traffic, lane closures are expected, and traffic control personnel will be on hand to guide vehicles through the work zones. The affected roadways include:
- Hawthorne Road from Russell Road to 300 meters south of Hunt Club Road
- Stevenage Drive between Hawthorne Road and Glenfield Drive.
For any emergency outside normal working hours on weekdays and weekends, please call the City at 3-1-1. For further information about this project, residents can inquire with our office or contact Britney McGrath, the City’s Project Manager directly – Britney.McGrath@Ottawa.ca
