Project Overview
Adirondack chairs will be installed along the Greenboro pathways near Albion Road, Tapiola Crescent, Greenboro Park, Bruff Park, and an outdoor fitness facility in Calzavara Park. The new chairs are expected to arrive in early 2026. Adirondack-style seating will be found along key sections of the Greenboro pathway and park system, including:
- Near Albion Road
- Tapiola Crescent
- Greenboro Park
- Bruff Park
- Addition of an outdoor fitness station in Calzavara Park.
The project enhances rest areas and supports active transportation and recreational use of park spaces and the Greenboro Linear Pathway
Current Status: In Progress
Phase: Construction and Installation started in the Fall of 2025 and will resume in Spring of 2026
Progress Update:
Concrete pads have been poured at five of the six planned seating locations. The sixth location, which will include an outdoor fitness station, is scheduled for installation at a later date in Calzavara Park. At Location 1 (Albion), concrete has been poured for the benches; however, the associated asphalt pathway has not yet been completed. Once the concrete has fully cured, fencing can be removed at Locations 2 through 5.
