Exciting Progress for Transitional Housing
At this past Wednesday’s Feb 26th City Council meeting, a re-zoning amendment was passed for a new transitional housing facility designed to support Inuit women and children. This Violence Against Women (VAW) supportive housing project represents a significant step in providing safe, supportive spaces for our community’s most vulnerable residents.
Next Steps: When they are ready, the applicant will submit a detailed site plan application. Once received, we will provide additional information and updates to the community.
This project demonstrates our commitment to supporting survivors and creating safe, welcoming spaces for those in need.
