As part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and address long-standing drainage concerns in our community, I am pleased to share that construction on the Kemp Park Drainage Improvements Project is expected to begin in mid-July 2026.
This important project will improve drainage conditions throughout the Kemp Park neighbourhood by rehabilitating the existing drainage system, re-establishing ditches, redirecting water flows, and replacing roadway and driveway culverts where required. Work will take place along Robert Kemp Street, Kemp Drive, Elma Street, Orville Kemp Street, Melva Avenue, Doris Avenue, and the west side of Bank Street.
Construction is anticipated to be completed by summer 2027. These improvements will help mitigate drainage issues and support the long-term resilience of local infrastructure.
