As part of the City of Ottawa’s annual road maintenance program, crack sealing work is scheduled to take place on several roads throughout Gloucester-Southgate this construction season.
This preventative maintenance helps extend the lifespan of roads by sealing cracks and reducing water infiltration into the pavement structure.
Roads included in the Gloucester-Southgate area are:

River Road

Riverside Drive
Work is expected to begin this spring or early summer and continue through the fall. Residents may experience temporary lane reductions, flagging operations, overnight or weekend work, and minor traffic delays while crews are on site.
Local access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout construction.
