Project Overview
Comprehensive Park and playground renewal featuring junior and senior playground equipment designed for children ages 1.5 to 12 years old. The community-selected Option A design (chosen by 62.5% of respondents) will include new swings with accessible saucer swing, teeter totter, overhead climbers, slides and play panels. Engineered wood fiber will be installed as protective surfacing material to meet accessibility requirements, with accessible pathways connecting to both playground and swing areas.
Current Status: COMPLETED
Phase: Completed in the Fall 2025 – Park fully open for use
Progress Update: Paving was completed before the winter of 2025. The park is now fully open for use. There was sod laid down in the fall and soil was put in place for grass seed in the spring. All the grass areas will have to be reviewed in the spring of 2026 to monitor the sod as it gets established and to spread grass seed to get it started. It’s possible some sod will need to be replaced at that time.
