Project Overview
Lifecycle replacement of playground and swing equipment at Cedardale Park, including upgrading the play structure and swings with accessible design features. The project will incorporate engineered wood fiber as protective surfacing material to meet accessibility requirements and include an accessible pathway connecting the road to the play area. Based on community feedback, the project will also include replacement of an existing bench and picnic table.
Current Status
Phase: Detailed Design Complete – Pre-Construction
Progress Update: Community consultation has been completed with strong public support. Concept A (orange and green design) was selected for the play structure and Concept B (belt, infant and bucket swings) was chosen for the swing equipment. Detailed design has been finalized.
Timeline: Construction anticipated for Fall 2025
