Project Overview
The City of Ottawa is developing approximately 158 residential units including new affordable housing, along with a new road and public park on a vacant City-owned parcel. This project has been planned since 2015 and aligns with the City’s Official Plan and Building Better Revitalized Neighbourhoods (BBRN) strategic initiative to address the current housing crisis in a thoughtful and sustainable way.
Current Status
Phase: Planning Review – Zoning and Subdivision Applications
Progress Update: Two applications are under review – a Zoning By-law Amendment and Plan of Subdivision. The rezoning application was reviewed by Planning and Housing Committee on September 11th and by City Council on September 18th, 2024 The subdivision application will follow at a later date.
Timeline: Development timeline to be confirmed following application approvals. Funding for the first two blocks have been secured. This includes 90 unit apartment building and funding for the roadway. City staff are currently awaiting for approvals on the soil from the Ministry of Environment.

Upcoming Actions: Groundbreaking Ceremony planned for the Spring 2026.
