2510 St Laurent Blvd: Townhouse Development

Feb 20, 2026 | News Updates

On February 18, the Planning and Housing Committee approved the  Re-Zoning Application for 2510 St Laurent Blvd.

This application has been under review since 2022, and my office previously shared updates in March 2024 and August 2025 as it progressed through the planning process.

The proposal would permit:

  • 160 townhouse units

  • A new 0.43-hectare public park

  • New sidewalk connections to surrounding streets

Currently, the lands are zoned for mixed commercial uses. This rezoning application would update the zoning to allow residential development and formally zone the new park as protected green space.

Throughout the review process, residents have shared important feedback regarding park protection, traffic and cycling connections near Walkley and Conroy, snow removal on the proposed private streets, and affordable housing. At this time, the proposal is for market-rate homes.

If Council approves the zoning, the next step will be draft approval of the subdivision. That will be followed closely by Site Plan approval. Shortly thereafter, a Plan of Condominium application will come forward with construction anticipated to begin in this spring 2026.
