Project Overview
The City of Ottawa has received a Site Plan Control application to renovate the existing one-storey building to accommodate a new commercial use (restaurant) with a gross floor area of approximately 243 m² at the corner of Dáze and Bank St. (Former Alterna Savings)
The project includes:

Renovation of the existing vacant one-storey building

Construction of a restaurant with a drive-through facility

Reduction of parking from 30 spaces to 13 surface parking spaces

Reconfiguration of the drive-through lane to accommodate up to 11 vehicles

Continued vehicular access from both Bank Street and Daze Street
A portion of the existing structure will be retained and incorporated into the new building.
The site is located at the south-west corner of Bank Street and Daze Street. The South Keys Shopping Centre and its associated parking lot are located to the west and south of the property. Along the western edge of the site is an urban natural heritage feature that includes pedestrian pathways and seating areas.

Progress Update
The application proposes to reuse and renovate the existing vacant drive-through building on site. The overall parking supply will be reduced, and the drive-through lane will be redesigned to improve functionality and circulation.
