It’s your city and your budget, so we want to hear from you! Your feedback helps inform the City’s budget priorities and contributes to decisions about investments in services that you want and need.
Drafting the budget:
Participate in the budget survey; this feedback will inform the development of the draft budget, open September 13 – October 27

Feedback on the Draft Budget:
The draft budget is tabled at Council on November 8. Following tabling, residents can provide feedback on the draft budget in the following ways:
- Participate in Councillor-led public consultations (Councillor Bradley will be sharing the dates in our newsletter and on our website once we have solidified a date).
- Ask questions through the Engage Ottawa page from November 8 – December 6.
- Follow along with Standing Committee meetings. At the meetings, there is an opportunity for community delegations to register and make a brief presentation to the Standing Committee. Check back regularly on Ottawa.ca as dates will be added when they are available.
Budget adoption:
Council will approve the 2024 budget on December 6. The adopted budget books will be updated and posted on Ottawa.ca.
